FAQ
The questions overseas EPC buyers ask most, answered in plain terms, not sales speak.

Verification
How do you tell a real factory from a trading office?
We cross-check the business-licence scope, social-insurance headcount, and customs filing. A "manufacturer" with two insured staff and no production-equipment records is almost always a trader reselling someone else's unit. We also look at whether the address is an industrial park or a serviced office.
Can you check a supplier without alerting them?
Yes. The entry-level screen and the Remote Audit use only public records and documents you already hold. The supplier isn't contacted. Only the On-Site Verification tier involves a factory visit, and even then we attend as your authorized representative, not as their auditor.
How do you verify a certificate is real?
We pull the exact certificate number and scope line, then look it up in the issuer's official public database (UL, TÜV, SGS, or the Chinese CCC system). The trap is the scope line: a mark on the deck often covers a different or discontinued model. We confirm the PO model is actually named, not just a sibling in the same series. A valid certificate on the wrong model is the same as no certificate.
How do you catch inflated specs?
We compare the raw experiment logs, namely temperature-rise curves, efficiency at load, THD, and protection-trip points, against the datasheet claimed values. The gap between what the lab actually measured and what the brochure promises is where most risk lives, and it's exactly what a non-engineer reviewer misses.
Process & Timing
How fast do I get a deliverable?
Spec Match: a full shortlist with risk pre-checks within 48 hours. Remote Audit (Standard): written report plus a 60-minute Q&A. On-Site Verification: a Factory Visit Technical Memo / On-Site Performance Verification Report within 48-72 hours of the visit. The free screen: within 48 hours.
What do I need to provide to start?
The supplier name or website / unified social credit code, plus what you plan to buy (model, volume, any datasheet you have); the more specific the brief, the sharper the screen.
Do you actually travel to the factory?
Only on the On-Site Verification tier. We go as your authorized representative, with or without your engineer, witness FAT, check sample-unit consistency, and record independently. Travel is booked by your side or pre-paid, never bundled into the fee. If you are the one coming to China, our Visit Accompaniment tier covers your trip day by day.
Sourcing & Matching
Can you match a specific brand or model to the right manufacturer?
Yes. Send us the brand and model, or just a nameplate photo, and we reverse-engineer the key parameters: rated voltage, impedance, cooling class, protection grade. Then we shortlist Chinese manufacturers whose product line genuinely covers those parameters. This is the Spec Match tier.
Do you handle import/export compliance and trade terms?
Yes. We know which Incoterm protects you and which one is just paperwork. We check whether your product's HTS code falls in the current US Section 301 tariff-exemption list, and we flag the expiry risk. Payment structures, customs filing, and trade compliance are built into the quote, not bolted on after you've wired the deposit.
What's the difference between Spec Match and a factory audit?
Spec Match finds who makes the right unit for your spec and whether the datasheet holds up. A factory audit verifies whether a specific factory is telling the truth about its capabilities. You typically start with Spec Match to identify candidates, then commission a Remote Audit or On-Site Verification on the one you want to buy from.
Engagement & Trust
Do you take commissions from factories?
Never. We're paid only by you, on a flat fee. When we name an alternative supplier, we state in writing that we have no financial relationship with it. No referral fees, no kickbacks, no revenue share. Our only incentive is that your deal closes.
How do you stay independent and confidential on site?
We decline factory banquets and keep all technical files in a group chat in front of your engineer, with no private WeChat with factory staff. As your authorized representative we never sign factory acceptance or release documents, and we don't announce pass/fail on the floor; every finding goes into our own formal written report.
What happens if you find a serious problem?
A walk-verdict report doesn't leave you stranded. The same document attaches three vetted alternative suppliers, each with a written statement that we have no financial tie to them, so you can pivot without starting over. Public case files are only ever published with client authorization and full anonymization.
Can you negotiate on my behalf?
Yes. The Procurement Execution and Remote Audit tiers include independent negotiation support, and On-Site Verification covers the physical checks; either way, we sit on your side of the table, not the factory's.
