Modules and mounting are closer to goods: the verdict rests on batch traceability and inspection on arrival rather than on parameter equivalence. On modules, read nameplate power against measured flash-test power (positive or negative tolerance), the defect grade from electroluminescence imaging, PID and hot-spot test records, and whether the certificate covers the design series or the actual batch. On structures, it is the structural calculation behind the design wind and snow loads, the steel grade, and the coating or anodising thickness.
Inverters and combiner boxes come back to device logic: grid-code compliance for the target market (a real certificate, not a self-declaration of "complies with"), efficiency curve and MPPT range, the DC voltage window matched to the string configuration, and the completeness of protection functions — insulation monitoring, DC arc-fault detection, anti-islanding. The grid-connection certificate is the weakest link in this category: a certificate whose model designation does not exactly match the nameplate is common, and disqualifying.
Three boundaries deserve agreeing up front: how transport damage is apportioned and to what packing standard, who actually stands behind the warranty (the works directly, or a layer in between), and the spares and service response behind it.
